Hot Flash Dances:
The return of the original! Hot Flash originally started as a women’s only space and primarily for women over at 30 offering up hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today from original Hot Flash DJ – DJ Lauren. We have listened to the feedback of the women in our community and are excited to bring back Hot Flash with DJ Lauren at the Fuse Bar. Fuse is a fantastic new venue with tons of seating to host a speakeasy style party with music from DJ Lauren, great drinks and tons of space to connect with other women in the community. Hot Flash welcomes only cisgender women and transwomen who are lesbian, straight, bi and everything in between. It's the best pre-funk lesbian, all-women party in town held every second Saturday at Fuse in Portland. |

To Be Clear:
This ... is just a little bit of honesty here. What we face as an LGBTQ community is a somewhat uncertain legislative future.
However, where we are TODAY. Where we are RIGHT NOW, is in no small part due to the sacrifice and visibility of those lesbians just a little older than us who marched... who stood up... who refused to let our LGBTQ brothers die alone while a world looked away in disgust. We're not trying to be political here. We're not. But look around... WE are our own living history. There are few opportunities we get to stand next to the women who were stronger, bolder and pushed through to get US ALL get to a place where most of us no longer have to live in closets and in shame. |

Hot Flash is a dance to celebrate all of us.
To give us that space to dance next to those who fought for us long before we personally knew we needed them to. Hot Flash is for women. All women. All women means: all cis women & trans women who are queer, lesbian, bi, straight, POC, butch, femme & everything in between. Every woman's battle in this life is different - but it can still be a battle to be visible, accepted, heard, treated equally, paid equally..... but it's a struggle we all share. That unity in beauty and struggle and triumph is what it means to be a woman, and it's what Hot Flash is all about. |
